Job summary

Walsworth-Eau Claire is seeking an experienced Bindery - Operator II for a full-time shift in a climate-controlled environment. You will set up, operate and troubleshoot equipment such as Hunklers, Collators, 3-Knife Trimmers and Folders, working Mon-Fri 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Ideal candidates have a background in fast-paced production with attention to detail, and familiarity with AS400 or Monarch. You will train new staff and contribute to process improvements while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months in a Bindery role.
• Experience in a fast-paced production environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up, run, and maintain assigned machinery.
• Troubleshoot machinery to meet production schedule.
• Read and interpret written instructions and procedures.
• Maintain accurate production counts.
• Follow all safety procedures and quality standards.
• Train new Bindery Operators and assist team transitions.
• Suggest process improvements based on observations.

We are hiring for the following full-time shifts:

• Monday -- Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Five 8-hour shifts)

Ideal candidates will have experience working in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines with sound attention to detail.

Job Summary:

As a Bindery - Operator II you will be responsible for the set up, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of applicable equipment. The equipment operated includes, but is not limited to: Hunklers, Collators, 3-Knife Trimmers and Folders.

Required Systems/Applications:

• AS400 or Monarch

Essential Functions:

• Set up, run, and maintain assigned machinery.
• Troubleshoot assigned machinery according to company procedures and practices to assure efficiency and quality to meet the required production schedule.
• Read and understand the written information pertaining to the job.
• Strive to meet or exceed departmental and company goals.
• Interpret and apply department policies, procedures and job instructions accurately.
• Communicate effectively with incoming shift personnel to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
• Maintain accurate counts.
• Follow all safety procedures as set forth by Walsworth.
• Move and organize scheduled work for assigned machinery.
• Assist in training new Bindery Operators.
• Monitor production and quality to make recommendations on process improvements.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Ability to learn computer applications as necessary for the position.
• Ability to read, interpret and follow verbal and written instructions, work procedures and other related materials.

• Ability to work required overtime beyond the standard 40-hour workweek depending on production requirements.
