Job summary

Lakeside Book Company is seeking a Bindery Operator 1 for the South Plant in Crawfordsville, IN. The 1st shift runs 7:00am–3:00pm, with 8–10 hour shifts and a starting rate of $22.00–$24.00 per hour. Training will prepare you for potential promotion to Lead operator.

Tools are provided and safety/benefits are offered. Responsibilities include setting up, adjusting, operating a single piece of machinery, monitoring quality and productivity, and working in a team environment with cross-training.

Qualifications

• Ability to do basic math and use computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust & operate a single piece of machinery.
• Participate in training to promote into a Lead operator position.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues.
• Monitor quality, output and productivity.
• Learn to measure and adjust machine to target levels with tools.
• Engage in preventative maintenance tasks as required.
• Assist lead operator with guiding crew members.
• Work in a team environment and cross-train with others.
