Job summary

Lakeside Book Company in Crawfordsville, IN is seeking a Bindery Operator 1. The role starts at $22.00–$24.00 per hour and runs 1st shift from 7:00am to 3:00pm, with 8–10 hour shifts at the South Plant location.

The position offers training, safety reimbursements and two weeks of vacation. Responsibilities include setting up and operating a single piece of machinery, monitoring quality and productivity, and assisting with crew guidance on a team-based production floor.

Qualifications

• Ability to do basic math and basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate a single piece of machinery.
• Participate in training to promote into a lead operator position.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues.
• Monitor quality, output and productivity.
• Learn to use tools to measure and adjust machine to target levels.
• Learn and engage in preventative maintenance tasks as required.
• Assist lead operator with providing guidance to crew members.
• Work in a team environment and cross-train with others.
