Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of Bindery/Finishing machine operation experience.
• Must pass a Public Trust Security Clearance.
• Strong attention to quality and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-time operation of Bindery machines and maintain quality output.
• Troubleshoot issues and report to program manager.
• Perform standard bindery operations to support assembly floor.
• Identify defective materials and escalate to supervisor.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and perform preventative maintenance.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.

About The Role

The Bindery Operator operates multiple bindery and finishing machines, including stitchers, cutters, folders, and gluers. We are looking for someone with several years of experience as an operator in a bindery-folder or finishing setting.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for on-time machine operations in the Bindery department.
• Ensures that assembly practices comply with established policies and procedures.
• Troubleshoot problems and report findings to the appropriate program manager and departmental managerial team.
• Perform typical Bindery operations to support the assembly floor.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of experience in Bindery/Finishing machine operation experience.
• Must be able to complete and pass a Public Trust Security Clearance

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position works on the production floor in an industrial warehouse setting.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
