Job summary

Modern Litho, Inc. in Jefferson City, MO, is seeking a reliable Bindery Operator to lead our finishing operations on a 12-hour rotating schedule.

You will set up, operate, and oversee bindery equipment, ensuring quality and safety while meeting production specs. You will handle cutters, pocket feeders, binders, coilers, tabbers, and saddle stitchers, follow job tickets, perform routine maintenance, and input time and material data into our production systems.

Qualifications

• Prior bindery machine operation or comparable experience preferred.
• Must be quality-minded and pay attention to detail.
• Must be able to read and understand job tickets and production instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attendance, work ethic, and reliability.
• Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
• Must be at least 18 years of age to operate equipment.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and job tracking.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and perform pulling, pushing, reaching, stooping, and standing activities for the entirety of the shift.

Responsibilities

Freshly Printed: The Role You've Been Looking For

Work just 3 days a week on a 12-hour rotating schedule while earning an additional $2/hour shift differential!

As a Bindery Operator, you serve as a key leader in our finishing operations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. You are responsible for setting up, operating, and overseeing equipment such as cutters, pocket feeders, perfect binders, coilers/tabbers, and saddle stitchers based on job specifications. In this role, you take ownership of production flow, proactively addressing issues, maintaining equipment performance, and supporting team success.

From Setup to Finish: Your Role in the Process

Your Production Schedule

• Day Shift- 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM 12-hour rotating schedule: Monday - Wednesday; Thursday - Saturday
