Job summary

Nystrom Publishing Co is seeking an experienced Bindery Manager to lead our finishing operations in Maple Grove, MN. You will take ownership of a critical production department in a fast-paced print and bindery environment, driving quality and efficiency.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in bindery/finishing, hands-on equipment knowledge, and strong leadership skills to motivate a team while upholding safety standards and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in bindery operations or related production
• Experience supervising or managing a team
• Hands-on with bindery equipment and processes
• Knowledge of print production workflows and finishing techniques

Responsibilities

• Oversee all bindery operations including cutting, folding, stitching, gluing, and finishing processes
• Manage, train, and schedule bindery staff to ensure efficient workflow and productivity
• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs
• Ensure quality control standards are met throughout all finishing and bindery stages
• Collaborate with prepress, press, and production teams to meet project deadlines
• Track inventory of bindery supplies and materials, placing orders as needed
• Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, compliant work environment
