Job summary

Community Impact Printing in Pflugerville, TX is seeking a hands-on Bindery Operator I to ensure accuracy and quality of products from the Stitcher/Trimmer and Inserter areas. You will set up equipment, calibrate processes, and maintain production standards to meet deadlines.

The role demands reliable shift availability (6:00 AM–2:30 PM, Monday to Friday), physical stamina, and a proactive approach to maintenance and quality checks in a fast-paced print shop environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with offset printing.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate the Stitcher/Trimmer and Inserter.
• Navigate Stitcher software to make adjustments before and during a run.
• Cycle the Inserter machine to sync pockets and feeder sensors.
• Find and move job files to the correct folder on the Inserter.
• Set up and calibrate the stacker to ensure neat, square bundles.
• Inspect and replace belts and strapping.
• Utilize Videojet software to import files and adjust parameters.
• Operate Kyocera, Kodak, and Taba printers.
• Load and change label rolls on the Inserter.
• Maintain knowledge of machine coding, error messages, and troubleshooting.
• Perform Daily, Weekly and Monthly maintenance on the Stitcher/Trimmer and Inserter.
