Job summary

Community Impact is seeking a hands-on Bindery Operator I for the 2nd shift (3:30 PM–12 AM) to ensure accuracy and quality in Stitcher/Trimmer and Inserter output. You will set up equipment, calibrate systems, and troubleshoot while maintaining production standards.

The role requires offset printing experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Weekend availability may be needed as required by production needs, with a competitive benefits package included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience with offset printing.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Available during 2nd Shift hours: 3:30 PM to 12 AM, Monday to Friday.
• Occasional weekends or variable shifts based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate the Stitcher/Trimmer and Inserter.
• Navigate Stitcher software to adjust settings before and during runs.
• Cycle the Inserter to sync pockets and feeder sensors.
• Move job files to correct folders on the Inserter.
• Set up and calibrate the stacker for neat, square bundles.
• Inspect and replace belts and strapping.
• Use Videojet software to import files and adjust parameters.
• Operate Kyocera, Kodak, and Taba printers.
• Load and change label rolls on the Inserter.
• Maintain knowledge of machine coding, errors, and troubleshooting.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on machinery.
