Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and finish printed materials according to quality standards.
• Maintain production workflow and cleanliness of bindery area.
• Enter job information into the PSI system at start and completion of each job.
• Move materials using pallet jack or forklift; assist with setup and breakdown of production runs.
• Read and follow bindery job jackets and instructions.
• Operate and maintain bindery equipment and perform basic maintenance tasks.

Position Summary

The Bindery Helper production operations by preparing and finishing printed materials according to established quality standards. This role ensures efficient workflow, m maintains production quality, and contributes to a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Production

• Catch and band all types and sizes of materials coming off folders
• Assemble boxes and power packs before and during production runs
• Read and follow instructions on bindery job jackets
• Enter job information into the PSI system at the start and completion of each job
• Stock worktables with necessary materials (bands, tape, load tickets, rubber bands)
• Maintain a clean and organized bindery area
• Perform routine maintenance tasks:
• Blow off machines using an air hose
• Clean air pump filters
• Oil folders and sweep floors as needed
• Mix and refill water score systems as needed
• Move materials to designated locations using a pallet jack or forklift
• Work overtime and weekends as required based on production needs

Quality Control

• Review and understand job instructions prior to starting work
• Maintain quality standards throughout the production process
• Obtain job approval from a supervisor or lead operator
• Minimize material waste

Qualifications
