Job summary

Piworld in Hyde Park, MA is seeking an experienced Inserter Operator for the 2nd shift. You will set up, operate, monitor, and maintain Series 6 inserter equipment, ensuring quality and safety in a high-volume printing environment.

This flex-to-hire role offers a stable second shift, overtime opportunities, and potential for permanent hire after a successful temporary assignment. Candidates should have prior inserter experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

Inserter Operator – Large International Printing Company

Location: Hyde Park, MA

Schedule: 2nd Shift (Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM)

Employment Type: Flex-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $20–$25/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Inserter Operator to join a busy commercial printing operation in Hyde Park, MA. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining Series 6 inserter equipment while ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Series 6 inserters, including folding, inserting, and related mail-processing functions
• Monitor machine performance and make real-time adjustments to maintain production quality and efficiency
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs as needed
• Ensure all work meets established quality and safety standards
• Assist in other printing, bindery, or production areas as business needs require
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating inserter equipment, preferably Series 6 inserters
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to make adjustments and perform basic maintenance
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to approximately 50 pounds on occasion
• Flexibility to cross-train and support multiple production departments
• Reliable attendance and punctuality, particularly for a second-shift schedule
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
