Job summary

Weaver Popcorn Manufacturing LLC in Van Buren, IN is seeking a Bin Technician to help ensure grain drying, storage, and handling before production starts. The role is Monday–Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with potential summer shifts.

You will operate and maintain drying and storage systems, monitor conditions, collect samples, and assist with maintenance. This is outdoor, hands-on work requiring reliability and ability to drive equipment and handle overtime during harvest.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain grain drying and storage systems
• Monitor temperature, moisture, airflow, and product quality
• Collect and test corn samples
• Prepare and clean bins between fills
• Unload incoming popcorn
• Confirm inventory and proper bin placement
• Assist with bin inspections, cleanouts, and preventive maintenance
• Probe bins and enter quality information into AS400
• Operate tractors, augers, and semi-trucks
• Support safety, quality, and efficiency improvements

Bin Technician

Location: Van Buren, IN
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Summer hours may shift to 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM due to heat.)

What You'll Do:

As a Bin Technician, you will:

• Operate and maintain grain drying and storage systems
• Monitor temperature, moisture, airflow, and product quality
• Collect and test corn samples
• Prepare and clean bins between fills
• Unload incoming popcorn
• Confirm inventory and proper bin placement
• Assist with bin inspections, cleanouts, and preventive maintenance
• Probe bins and enter quality information into AS400
• Operate tractors, augers, and semi-trucks

Harvest Season:

Harvest generally begins in September and may continue into the following year, depending on weather. During the six- to eight-week harvest period, grain receiving may operate up to 12 hours per day, including weekends. Additional overtime may be available.

• Double Time on Sundays
• Time-and-a-Half after 40 hours worked in a workweek
