Job summary

Weaver Popcorn Manufacturing in Van Buren, IN is seeking a Machine Operator to run production and packaging lines with focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. You’ll monitor equipment, perform quality checks, and support a fast-paced team in a clean, food-safe environment.

Starting pay is $21.00/hour with a $0.50/hour raise after 90 days and another $0.50/hour after 6 months, plus a $3.00/hour night shift premium. Training is provided; 2-2-3 schedule and strong benefits follow after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and understand English to perform job duties effectively and safely.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret production schedules, SOPs, and safety documents.
• Basic math and computer/data entry skills.
• Strong attention to detail, with focus on quality and accuracy.

Position Overview:

As a Machine Operator, you will operate production equipment while maintaining safety, quality, food-safety, and efficiency standards.

A Typical Day Might Include:

You will begin by reviewing production goals, equipment conditions, and shift priorities.

Throughout your shift, you will operate equipment, inspect products, complete quality checks, make adjustments, and respond to production needs.

• $0.50/hour raise after 90 days
