Job summary

Hedrick Brothers Construction Co., Inc. is seeking a hands-on VDC Coordinator in West Palm Beach, FL. You will build and maintain BIM models, coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors, and support quantity takeoffs and scheduling on active projects.

The role requires a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, plus at least 3 years of project engineering experience and strong plan-reading skills. English communication proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or equivalent completion of a Construction Management Certificate Program.
• Minimum 3 years of related project engineering experience and proficient plan reading.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain schematic and detailed BIM models for projects (structure, architectural, MEP).
• Serve as Model Administrator, manage model changes, and BIM revision log.
• Coordinate with BIM service providers and subcontractors, assist with subcontracting to outside vendors.
• Derive material quantities, perform quantity take-offs, and prepare quantity reports.
• Develop design-phase and coordination schedules; prepare 4D simulations.
• Define scopes of work, evaluate field problems, and issue RFIs; track logs and submittals.
