Job summary

Hoar Construction is seeking a VDC Manager to lead on-site BIM/VDC initiatives across multiple projects. You will coordinate production, model development, and advanced technologies to improve quantity estimation and scope visualization during preconstruction.

The role requires 5–7 years in VDC/BIM, proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, VICO and related tools, and a driver’s license. Travel up to 10% may be necessary, with collaboration across teams and clients.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of VDC/BIM experience in construction technology or related field
• Proficient with BIM tools such as Revit, Navisworks, VICO and Assemble
• Thorough understanding of building design, construction, operations, sequencing and CPM scheduling
• LEED AP or related certifications preferred
• Valid Driver's License required

Responsibilities

• Manage and coach VDC staff and create models for schedule optimization and preconstruction
• Collaborate with project teams to develop BIM plans and strategy and implement VDC activities
• Maintain QA of design and lead development of BIM deliverables including sign-off models and FM data
• Develop and keep BIM/VDC technologies and processes, provide training and communicate changes
• Implement BIM applications and provide technical knowledge of related systems and networks
• Attend meetings to assist project teams with BIM coordination, budget development and client communications
• Maintain and report VDC metrics and costs for each project
• Coordinate BIM plans with field supervision and trade partners, sharing lessons learned
• Support reality capture with laser scanning services and assist IT with BIM software issues
