Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking a BIM/VDC Engineer to join our Virtual Design & Construction team on a project in Atlanta, GA. This is a full‑time, in‑person position, working with project teams to model, coordinate, and resolve construction challenges.

The ideal candidate has 0–4 years of BIM/VDC experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and a willingness to relocate and travel. Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and MS Office is desired to support coordination and quality

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Computer Graphics, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
0–4 years of BIM/VDC experience on commercial construction projects.
Willingness to relocate and travel.
Knowledge of 3D modeling and coordination tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and other applicable tools.
Ability to work in a collaborative environment as well as independently.
Understanding of contract documents, drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
Basic understanding of the construction management process (RFIs, Submittals, Shop Drawings).

Responsibilities

Facilitate problem solving using technology and collaboration with project teams, both internal and external.
Coordinate workload for one or more projects with VDC Manager(s).
Manage modeling efforts and deliverables to solve construction issues.
Understand and contribute to the VDC coordination schedule by tracking responsibilities and providing progress updates.
Identify and facilitate resolution of coordination conflicts using clash detection in Navisworks.
Lead clash resolution and coordination meetings, ensuring all items are completed.
Use modeling best practices and company standards to produce accurate models.
Conduct quality reviews of modeled scope from others and confirm compliance with contract documents.
Apply concepts from training sessions and lessons learned to facilitate project coordination.
Understand and implement VDC services in accordance with standards and best practices.
Contribute to VDC goals and company initiatives.
