Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team seeks a BIM Technician to support BIM production on small and medium projects and participate in larger teams on bigger ones. You will set up models, manage file structures, and collaborate with project managers and design staff to deliver accurate drawings.

Proficiency in Revit and BIM, with clash detection (Navisworks preferred), and strong communication skills are required. The role expects knowledge of architectural/engineering workflows and ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Certificate from technical college.
• Advanced degree in related field.
• Certifications relevant to the position.
• Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience with Revit.
• Familiarity with structural design within the built environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up new BIM models and maintain file structure for projects.
• Works with project managers and design staff to prepare drawing documentation.
• Skillfully works in Revit Structure on 3D projects, including multiple models and geometry.
• Creates electronic data files per client requirements.
• Publishes and manages drawing sets and revisions.
• Assists staff with Revit issues and mentors design staff in Design Technology systems use.
