Job summary

Permasteelisa North America is seeking a BIM Specialist to join the BIM team. You will read curtainwall drawings, translate them into BIM models primarily using Revit, and maintain PMF software accuracy across projects.

Responsibilities include developing 3D models, drafting CAD layouts, performing clash detection, and producing submittal drawings while supporting project teams and ensuring standards and safety are upheld.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred in Architecture, Mechanical, Structural or Civil Engineering.
• 5-7 years of related experience; construction/curtainwall industry a plus.
• Proficiency in Rhino is a must; experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Dynamo, Grasshopper and Microsoft Office is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret Architectural drawings related to curtainwall.
• Read and interpret 2D fabrication drawings of curtainwall units.
• Modify existing templates and create accurate and detailed 3D BIM models.
• Develop and modify custom model components.
• Generate and annotate drawings for submittals.
• Run clash detection and report issues to stakeholders.
• Ensure all work adheres to company and project standards.
• Train BIM Modelers and contribute to modeling standards.
• Attend BIM coordination meetings and assist coordination.
