Job summary

Tiello is seeking a BIM Specialist to lead development and coordination of electrical models from design through installation. You will collaborate with project managers, field leadership, and other trades to ensure fully coordinated, clash-free models before field deployment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Revit expertise and an electrical contractor background, with an understanding of translating models into real-world installation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of BIM / VDC experience.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
• Experience with Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
• Working knowledge of NEC requirements.
• Experience on data center or mission-critical projects is a plus.
• Familiarity with Procore or similar PM platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and maintain detailed electrical models in Revit (conduit, cable tray, power distribution, lighting, LV systems).
• Participate in multi-trade coordination meetings and resolve clashes with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and structural trades.
• Run clash detection and produce coordination reports using Navisworks or similar tools.
• Produce installation and shop drawings, spool drawings, and layouts for field crews.
• Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and engineers to reflect constructability and field conditions in models.
• Support prefabrication by creating detailed models and assembly drawings.
• Maintain model standards, families, templates, and file organization.
• Track and incorporate RFIs, design changes, and field updates into the model.
• Assist with as-built documentation at project closeout.

Tiello is partnering with a well-established, growing electrical contractor headquartered in Southeast Michigan, with operations expanding across multiple states. Known for delivering complex commercial and mission-critical projects, including large-scale data center work, this company is investing in its preconstruction and virtual design capabilities and is seeking a BIM Coordinator to join its team.

Role Summary

The BIM Specialist will lead the development and coordination of electrical models from design through installation. Working closely with project managers, field leadership, and other trades, this role ensures electrical systems are fully coordinated, clash-free, and buildable before they reach the field. The ideal candidate brings a strong electrical contractor background, hands-on Revit expertise, and an understanding of how models translate into real-world installation.

• Experience on data center or mission-critical projects a plus
• Familiarity with Procore or similar project management platforms a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across multiple trades
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Associate`s or Bachelor`s degree in a related field, or equivalent field/trade experience
