Job summary

Tiello is seeking a BIM Specialist to lead development and coordination of electrical models from design through installation in New Florence, MO. You will collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to ensure clash-free, constructible models for field use.

The role emphasizes Revit proficiency, real-world electrical systems knowledge, and attention to detail to support prefabrication and shop drawings. This is a full-time on-site position with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 3 years of BIM / VDC experience.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit required.
• Experience with Navisworks, AutoCAD, and/or Bluebeam strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, NEC requirements, and field installation practices.
• Experience on data center or mission-critical projects a plus.
• Familiarity with Procore or similar project management platforms a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across multiple trades.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent field/trade experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and maintain detailed electrical models in Revit, including conduit, cable tray, power distribution, lighting, and low‑voltage systems
• Participate in multi‑trade coordination meetings and resolve clashes with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and structural trades
• Run clash detection and produce coordination reports using Navisworks or similar tools
• Produce installation and shop drawings, spool drawings, and layouts for field crews
• Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and engineers to ensure models reflect constructability and field conditions
• Support prefabrication efforts by creating detailed models and assembly drawings
• Maintain model standards, families, templates, and file organization
• Track and incorporate RFIs, design changes, and field updates into the model
• Assist with as‑built documentation at project closeout

Tiello is partnering with a well-established, growing electrical contractor headquartered in Southeast Michigan, with operations expanding across multiple states. Known for delivering complex commercial and mission-critical projects, including large-scale data center work, this company is investing in its preconstruction and virtual design capabilities and is seeking a BIM Coordinator to join its team.

Role Summary

The BIM Specialist will lead the development and coordination of electrical models from design through installation. Working closely with project managers, field leadership, and other trades, this role ensures electrical systems are fully coordinated, clash-free, and buildable before they reach the field. The ideal candidate brings a strong electrical contractor background, hands‑on Revit expertise, and an understanding of how models translate into real‑world installation.
