Job summary

McKenney's Inc. in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a BIM Project Engineer for a 9-12 month entry-level program designed to introduce you to McKenney's processes, capabilities, and scope of work.

You will learn preconstruction, design and virtual construction, fabrication workflows, and field installation of mechanical systems. You will develop skills in detailing mechanical systems, coordinating BIM work with customers, estimating projects, and collaborating with suppliers and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in BIM Management, Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
• Equivalent business degree with construction/engineering focus and 1-2 years PM experience over technicians.
• If no degree, a minimum of 5+ years internal experience with plumbing, piping, or HVAC.
• Must have PC experience in Windows, word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software.

Responsibilities

• Learn McKenney's preconstruction processes, design and virtual construction workflows.
• Coordinate BIM work with customers and other trades.
• Estimate projects and interact with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Work in the field as part of an installation crew.
