McKenney's Inc. is seeking a BIM Project Engineer to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. This exciting role of Project Engineer is a 9-12-month entry‑level position designed to expose the employee to McKenney’s processes, capabilities, and scope of work before moving into an Assistant Project Manager, BIM Project Manager, Engineer, or Sales Engineer.
POSITION SUMMARY
As a Project Engineer, you will work in a team environment where you will participate and learn McKenney’s preconstruction processes, design and virtual construction, fabrication workflows, field installation of mechanical systems, and start‑up and commissioning of those systems.
Learning objectives in this role include, but are not limited to, the detailing of mechanical systems (ductwork, mechanical piping, and plumbing), coordinating McKenney’s work with customers and other trades through the BIM process, estimating projects, interacting with our suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors, and working in the field as part of an installation crew. In addition to this training, we expect the Project Engineer to develop good relationships through regular interactions with project managers, field and shop foremen, virtual construction team members, field operations, engineers, suppliers, and other trade sub‑contractors.
