Job summary

Job description

BIM Modeler III

Responsible for providing modeling efforts for both project delivery and standards. Works as a leader of the production team, creating most drawings for projects and functioning as a Model Manager.

What you'll do

• Work with Family Development Team for revised standards or project needs.
• Create project specific families.
• Lead and supervise modeling and documenting a project.
• Schedule and assign work to meet project deliverable dates.
• Clean and purge background drawings/models for use in REI model.
• Create Rosendin Revit model using backgrounds from other trades.
• Work with project Coordinators and Detailers.
• Supervise the layout and input of marked-up drawings into Revit in accordance with REI Standards.
• Back-check others' work for accuracy before passing it on to the project team.
• Acknowledge REI confidential and non-disclosure requirements.
• Perform duties as assigned per business unit.

What you bring to us

• Associate degree in Computerized Drafting or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years total experience with knowledge of electrical symbols and drafting conventions.
• Combination of education, training, and relevant experience acceptable.

What you'll need to be successful

• Advanced working knowledge of current modeling applications, especially Revit families, views, browser structure, sheets, schedules.
• Ability to give verbal and written direction and produce appropriate design documents.
• Complete understanding of REI BIM processes and workflow.
• Skill in creating simple parametric families, shared parameters, schedules, complex geometry.
• Fluency with current version of Revit, 2D plans reading, and 3D space.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Navisworks, Autodesk Design Review, 3D layout, and design.
• Experience with import of documents into Revit projects.
• Type, proofread, spell check work independently.
• Create Revit work sets and understand work sharing.
• Understand 3D coordination with other trades.
• Manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
• Work under pressure and adapt with a positive attitude.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, proactive, effective team player.
• Professional interaction with all employee levels, vendors, clients.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• General environment – sitting, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending, primarily indoors with fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
• Noise level low to medium, may be loud on a job site.
• Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
