Job summary

Northland Concrete & Masonry (NCM) is seeking a Project Engineer / BIM Modeler to translate construction drawings into precise 2D and 3D models supporting estimating, coordination, scheduling, and field execution.

This role collaborates with Project Managers, Estimators, and field teams to identify conflicts, improve constructability, and provide model-based information for project success on complex commercial and masonry scopes.

Qualifications

Experience with BIM/VDC, construction modeling, or related construction technology.
Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp (Bluebeam a plus).
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain accurate 2D and 3D BIM models for concrete and masonry scopes.
Create project layout files using AutoCAD and develop 3D models using Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other applicable modeling platforms.
Translate drawings, specs, and project requirements into detailed models reflecting scope.
Model concrete, masonry, structural elements, embeds, openings, elevations, formwork, and other components to tolerances.
Update models and layouts as drawings and project scopes change.
Coordinate models with other trades and communicate issues before they reach the field.
