About the Role

We’re hiring a Telecommunications Engineer to support a leading telecommunications client. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire remote opportunity for an experienced drafter with strong AutoCAD and BIM/Revit skills. The role focuses on creating detailed drawings for Distributed Antenna System (DAS) and telecom projects in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed construction drawings following telecom industry standards
• Create telecommunication engineering designs and layouts
• Perform quality checks on plan designs to ensure accuracy
• Manage multiple drafting workflows and meet project deadlines
• Interpret engineer notes, marked prints, and instructions into complete drawings
• Support potential cross‑training on OSP (Outside Plant) design projects

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of CAD drafting experience with a design background
• Minimum 2 years of BIM/Revit experience; Autodesk certification preferred
• Experience with telecom, DAS, or utility projects (DAS highly preferred)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Adobe Acrobat (or similar PDF editors)
• Familiarity with telecom layouts, indoor/outdoor equipment, and structural drafting (concrete, steel, wood, masonry)
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
• Team‑oriented, adaptable, and detail‑focused
