Job summary

Hilscher-Clarke is seeking a full-time BIM Modeler to join our Pataskala, Ohio office. You will develop detailed electrical BIM models using Revit, coordinate with teams, and produce accurate schedules and fabrications for ongoing projects.

Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks is required, along with experience using BIM Collaborate Pro. Strong communication and data extraction skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks with ability to interpret construction documents.
• Experience with BIM coordination and clash detection using coordinated workflows.
• Strong communication skills with keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide modeling support in Revit on a day-to-day basis.
• Model electrical content including conduit, switchgear, panels, transformers, and fixtures.
• Create detailed 2D/3D models of electrical buildings and generate schedules using Revit.
• Resolve clashes saved as viewpoints by coordination leaders and coordinate with other BIM technicians.
• Extract information from Bluebeam markups and apply to BIM models.
• Export spreadsheets from Revit for prefabrication team and material lists.
• Assist in extracting site elevations from Civil files to ensure correct elevations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide additional modeling horsepower to our team. This means working in Revit and modeling content on a day to day basis.
• Conduit (EMT overhead, PVC underground)
• Electrical switchgear
• Electrical panelboards, transformers, control cabinets, fire alarm cabinets
• Electrical light fixtures
• Electrical duct banks
• Electrical vaults, handholes, pull boxes
• Electrical hangers (typical trapeze strut hangers, individual all thread hangers)
• Electrical prefabrication racks, skids, light fixtures designed by the Canton team.
• Prepare detailed 2D/3D models of electrical buildings using Revit.
• Generate schedules using Revit.
• Resolve clashes saved as viewpoints by other contractor coordination leaders.
• Work with other trade BIM technicians/modelers to come up with solutions when necessary to ensure our coordination efforts stay on schedule.
• Efficiently work with ACC
• Be able to extract all information from our Bluebeam markups and apply to the BIM model.
• Export spreadsheets from Revit to supply to our prefabrication team. (hanger builds, strut builds, material lists for conduit, fittings, ladder/basket tray fittings, etc.)
• Assist in extraction of site elevations from a Civil file to ensure any Electrical site elements are modeled at the correct elevations.

Required Experience:

• Proficient in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
• Experience with BIM Collaborate Pro and other collaboration software.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

• Capable of interpreting and understanding contract documents.
• Ability to create comprehensive installation and prefab drawings.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Google Sheets, and similar tools.
