Job summary

Thomas & Hutton seeks an experienced BIM Manager to lead Revit and CAD standards across structural, civil, and environmental engineering teams. You will implement firm-wide BIM/CAD templates, coordinate cross-discipline workflows, and ensure quality via rigorous model coordination and data management.

The role requires 5+ years with Revit/AutoCAD in engineering settings, including coordination of large geospatial datasets.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) - Revit.
Professional Engineering License (PE) is a plus.
5+ years of professional experience with Revit and AutoCAD (including Civil 3D).
Proven experience developing, enforcing, and maintaining Revit and AutoCAD standards.
Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD in a production environment.
Experience coordinating large geospatial datasets, including survey files, GIS data, and point clouds.
Understanding of structural materials and systems.

Responsibilities

Develop, document, implement, and maintain firm-wide Revit standards, templates, libraries, and workflows.
Coordinate Revit standards with AutoCAD and Civil 3D standards for consistency.
Support development and continuous improvement of BIM workflows in coordination with IT and leadership.
Coordinate imports/exports between structural analysis software and Revit models.
Coordinate large and complex models with survey data, point clouds, and geospatial datasets.
Support modeling and documentation of environmental systems (stormwater, wastewater, site infrastructure).
Interface with staff to ensure multidisciplinary coordination.
Assist with development of structural, civil, and environmental details and typical sections for libraries.
Perform model and drawings QC against standards and client BIM requirements.
Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and training for staff.
Coordinate with IT on software versions, licenses, hardware needs, and data management.
