Job summary

Thomas & Hutton is seeking an experienced BIM Manager to lead Revit and CAD standards across structural, civil, and environmental engineering. You will coordinate large geospatial models and ensure quality and consistency in project deliverables.

You will work with IT and engineering leadership to develop workflows, provide training, and support hybrid CAD/BIM processes. This on-site role offers a collaborative environment and opportunities to influence firm-wide BIM direction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural/environmental/architectural engineering or related field.
• Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) - Revit.
• PE license is a plus.
• 5+ years with Revit and AutoCAD (incl. Civil 3D) in engineering environments with standards development.
• Proven experience in enforcing BIM/AutoCAD standards.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD in production environments.
• Experience coordinating large geospatial datasets (survey data, GIS, point clouds).
• Strong knowledge of construction documentation and real-world practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, implement, and maintain firm-wide Revit standards, templates, libraries, and workflows.
• Coordinate Revit standards with AutoCAD and Civil 3D to maintain consistency.
• Support development and continuous improvement of BIM workflows with IT and engineering leadership.
• Coordinate imports/exports between structural software and Revit models where applicable.
• Coordinate large, complex models with survey data, point clouds and geospatial datasets.
• Model environmental systems (stormwater, water/wastewater, site infrastructure).
• Interface with structural, civil, environmental staff for multidisciplinary coordination.
• Assist with development of structural/civil/environmental details and library sections.
• Perform model/drawing quality control for standards, BIM requirements, constructability, clashes.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and staff training.
• Coordinate with IT on software versions, licenses, and data management practices.
• Communicate and coordinate across projects and teams.
• Collaborate in a hybrid CAD/BIM environment and with external partners.
• Participate in professional/industry organizations as appropriate.
