BIM Manager (Plumbing/ Mechanical) – $75,000 – Remote/ EST Zone

The Role

Are you an experienced Mechanical/Plumbing BIM professional? Do you have a knack for Revit modeling, content creation, and project setup? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are seeking a Mechanical/Plumbing BIM Manager to join our team. With a minimum of 5+ years of industry experience, you will be at the forefront of our BIM projects, leading the development and management of BIM processes for mechanical and plumbing systems. Your role will involve creating, maintaining, and optimizing BIM models to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Creating Mechanical HVAC, DWV, Mechanical Pipe, Plumbing, and/or Process Pipe.
2. Attending coordination meetings with clients.
3. Collaborating with other disciplines.
4. Generate RFIs to be submitted to the design team.
5. Create detailed shop drawings for fabrication and installation, and export drawings for robotic total station use.
6. Communicate with field personnel to ensure fabrication and installation intent is clear.
7. Mentor other BIM Coordinators with on-the-job training for modelling, collaboration software, and drawing creation.
8. Work with team members to meet project schedules.
9. Aiding in the creation of Revit families, as needed.
10. Provide input on hardware and software requirements.

The Person

1. 5+ years of experience with 3D modelling of mechanical or plumbing systems
2. Minimum of 5+ years utilizing Autodesk Revit MEP and Navisworks
3. Strong skills in Bluebeam solutions
4. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
5. Understanding of construction principles
6. Assist Project Managers with estimation and scoping
7. Strong communication skills
8. Detail-oriented and quality-driven
9. Self-motivated and eager to learn new systems
10. Problem-solving skills and ability to assess options
11. Proactive attitude and team-oriented
12. Knowledge of fabrication software is a plus
