Job summary

Vertical Mechanical Group in Sterling, VA seeks a BIM Manager to lead our Building Information Modeling operations across mechanical projects. You will oversee BIM coordinators and technicians, implement modeling standards, and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field leadership to deliver accurate, efficient models.

The role requires 5–7 years of BIM/VDC in the mechanical construction industry, strong leadership, and proficient BIM tool skills.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of BIM/VDC experience in mechanical construction.
• Proven leadership of BIM coordination on large commercial projects.
• Proficient in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD and related BIM tools.
• Strong understanding of HVAC and mechanical systems design.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead BIM modeling for HVAC and plumbing across projects.
• Establish and enforce BIM standards and workflows.
• Mentor BIM team to ensure quality and consistency.
• Coordinate with PMs, engineers and field teams to resolve clashes.
• Perform clash detection and constructability analyses.
• Integrate BIM with fabrication, estimating, and field layout.
• Manage BIM project schedules and resources.
• Stay updated on BIM tech and tools.
