Job summary

Garver’s Water Design Center in Fayetteville, AR, seeks a BIM Intern to develop 3D Revit models and create plans, sections, and details in Revit and AutoCAD. Work alongside technicians, designers, project managers, and design teams to deliver projects while maintaining CAD/BIM standards and effective file sharing.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in a professional environment, collaborating across disciplines and contributing to water design and treatment initiatives in the region.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Computer Aided Design associate degree.
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D Revit models.
• Create plans, sections, and details in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with technicians, designers, PMs to execute projects.
• Arrange resources for file sharing across the company and with clients.
• Maintain communication with engineers and PMs to ensure timely delivery.
• QA/QC to ensure CAD/BIM standards are followed.

Internship Description

• Develop 3D Revit models
• Create plans, sections, and details in Revit and AutoCAD software
• Work as a team player with a group of technicians and designers, of various levels and disciplines (process, structural, mechanical, electrical etc.) and working with Project Managers and design teams to execute projects
• Arrange necessary resources for file sharing and communication to effectively share design files across the company or with clients, sub consultants, and contractors
• Maintain strong communication with engineers and project managers to ensure timely delivery of projects and avoid any potential project conflicts
• QA/QC and ensure that all projects adhere to company CAD/BIM standards

Requirements

Work Environment

This is an in-office position; duties and responsibilities are generally performed in an office setting. Occasional travel to offsite locations to perform work and work-related tasks or to attend meetings may be required.
