Job summary

Allied Steel Buildings, a global manufacturer of steel buildings, seeks a technical draftsman/detailer to create precise 3D models and fabrication drawings for PEMB projects. You will ensure models satisfy project requirements, manufacturability, and delivery timelines, coordinating with design teams.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree and have 2+ years in PEMB or related fields, with Tekla Structures and Revit proficiency, plus strong collaboration and scheduling skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of structural engineering experience in PEMB or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes.
• Familiarity with Levels of Development (LOD) and collaborative workflows.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience using Tekla Structures and coordinating with Autodesk Revit.
• Experience with 3D coordination on multidisciplinary projects.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide 3D models for medium- to high-complexity steel buildings meeting project requirements and schedules.
• Incorporate structural criteria into logical, value-driven models.
• Prepare shop and fabrication drawings per project specs and manufacturing requirements.
• Collaborate to develop templates based on client requirements.
