Responsibilities

We’re seeking an MEP BIM Engineer to support the coordination and constructability of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

This is a hands‑on VDC role for someone who understands that a coordinated model has to work in the field, not just look good on a screen. You’ll work closely with project teams, designers, trade partners, and field personnel to identify conflicts, coordinate building systems, and help turn design information into installation‑ready solutions.

The ideal candidate combines strong Revit/Navisworks skills with a practical understanding of MEP construction.

What You’ll Do

• Develop, update, and coordinate 3D MEP models throughout the project lifecycle
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, piping, ductwork, and related building systems
• Perform clash detection and identify conflicts between MEP systems, structure, and architectural elements
• Participate in multidisciplinary BIM/VDC coordination meetings
• Work with project teams and trade partners to resolve clashes and constructability issues
• Incorporate design changes, RFIs, submittals, and field information into coordinated models
• Review models for accuracy, constructability, clearances, access, and installation requirements
• Support the development of coordinated layouts and installation‑ready information
• Maintain model standards, file organization, and project documentation
• Communicate coordination issues clearly to VDC leadership, project teams, and field personnel
• Help identify potential problems before they result in field conflicts or rework
• Support fabrication and prefabrication efforts where applicable

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in VDC, BIM, MEP coordination, or construction modeling
• Working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, piping, or HVAC systems
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and coordination documents
• Experience performing clash detection and resolving model coordination issues
• Understanding of how MEP systems are actually routed, installed, supported, and maintained in the field
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple coordination priorities
• Effective communication and collaboration with project, design, and field teams
• Experience with fabrication, prefabrication, or design-to-fabrication workflows is a plus
• Experience with complex commercial, industrial, healthcare, manufacturing, or mission critical projects is a plus

A Strong Fit Could Come From

Candidates may currently be working as a VDC Coordinator, BIM Coordinator, MEP Coordinator, BIM/VDC Specialist, Mechanical Designer, Electrical Designer, or BIM Modeler with hands‑on MEP coordination experience.
