Job summary

Rogers Electric in Texas is seeking a BIM Designer to join our team. You will produce 2D and 3D models using REVIT and AutoCAD, develop construction documents, and coordinate with design professionals and the field team.

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 2+ years of electrical design experience is required; proficiency in NEC and local codes, plus strong CAD skills, is expected. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 2 years of electrical design experience in consulting or construction.
Proficient with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes; reading drawings and specs.
Ability to communicate professionally; detail-oriented and organized.
Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

Create constructible 2D and 3D models of electrical components using REVIT and AutoCAD.
Prepare construction docs, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and layouts.
Coordinate with design professionals and field team to minimize clashes and errors.
Develop detailed installation drawings to assist field electricians.
Perform surveying to document existing conditions when required.
Create prefab drawings, details, and BOMs for fabrication.
Perform lighting and power design, single-line designs, and load calculations.
