ICON seeks a Sr. Design Technologist to develop tooling and data structures that embed ICON’s products inside Revit and other BIM/CAD environments. The role advances LLM-driven tooling and design-automation within ICON’s Product Roadmap.

You will lead BIM integrations, shape data structures, and collaborate with software teams to deliver production-ready features for design platforms used by customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field with strong technical focus.
• 8+ years in BIM-driven design, or 6+ with a Master’s, or 3+ with Ph.D.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit and related BIM/CAD tools.
• Experience shipping internal tools or platform features.
• Strong knowledge of construction/design industry practices.
• Ability to translate design requirements into software specs.

Responsabilités

• Own design platform integrations and BIM data structures used in design tools.
• Build and maintain BIM plugins, scripts, and data pipelines.
• Define QA/validation protocols for released design integrations.
• Collaborate with Software to align BIM needs with product roadmap.
• Translate design requirements into technical specifications for software teams.
• Prepare documentation and usage standards for tooling.
