Job description

Overview

Egan Company is seeking qualified candidates for a BIM Coordinator - Plumbing/Piping position with our Mechanical team located in Champlin, MN. The BIM Coordinator role is to oversee model management tasks for Virtual Design & Construction Projects. Coordination, Install drawing production, and Fabrication Spool Production.

Responsibilities

The basic responsibilities of the BIM Coordinator - Plumbing/Piping include but are not limited to the following:

  • Set-Up of BIM Coordinated Models Utilizing Egan Templates.
  • Coordination & Modeling of Mechanical Plumbing and Piping Systems, including all information. Provide a complete and functional virtual installation of the project.
  • Creation of Field Installation Drawings & Fabrication Spool Drawings.
  • Collaborate with other internal and external BIM Coordinators.
  • Review of project drawings, specifications, submittals, etc., in order to provide a complete and coordinated Project VDC Model.
  • Ability to find issues during BIM coordination process and assist in RFI requests to eliminate field issues.
Secondary Role

Maintain and enhance Egan's CAD infrastructure, which includes:

  • File and folder organization
  • Customized support files
  • Model content and templates
  • Communication with other office staff (Project Managers & Coordinators)
  • Communication with Field Foreman
Requirements
  • Two Year Technical Degree in CAD or Related Field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the mechanical industry
  • Minimum of 2 years of Revit and/or AutoCAD experience

Salary Range: $80,000-$120,000 (subject to factors such as experience, education, and/or skill set) plus potential annual discretionary bonus. Position is eligible for an auto allowance and gas card.
