Placements24 is seeking a skilled BIM Coordinator for an architectural and engineering consultancy based in East London, Eastern Cape. You will implement and manage BIM processes across projects, ensuring efficient use of BIM technology and high-quality construction documentation.

The role requires deep BIM workflow knowledge, coordination across disciplines, and training project teams in BIM software. This is a full-time position offering opportunities for certification and career growth.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as BIM Coordinator, BIM Manager, or in a similar BIM-focused role.
• Strong proficiency with Revit and other BIM-related software (e.g., Navisworks, BIM 360).
• In-depth understanding of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650) and best practices.
• Experience with architectural, structural, and MEP modeling and coordination.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with the South African construction and architectural context is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement BIM standards, protocols, and workflows for projects.
• Coordinate BIM models from various disciplines (architectural, structural, MEP) to ensure clash detection and integration.
• Provide training and support to project teams on BIM software and best practices.
• Manage the BIM environment, including project setup, file management, and library content.
• Conduct quality control checks on BIM models to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders using BIM tools.
