Job summary

Thomas Young Group, an engineering and design firm with 50+ years of experience and nearly 1,000 professionals nationwide, seeks a BIM Coordinator for its Kansas City office to support dynamic building projects in a people-focused workplace.

You will coordinate BIM models for MEP, perform clash detection, enforce BIM Execution Plans, and collaborate with design, engineering, construction, and vendor teams across RFIs and field changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of professional BIM experience.
• Experience on varied building projects across sectors such as healthcare, commercial, or government.

This engineering and design firm has been building its expertise for over 50 years and now brings together nearly 1,000 professionals nationwide. Their Kansas City office is looking for a BIM Coordinator to support some of the region’s most dynamic building projects while enjoying the flexibility, stability, and culture of a people-focused workplace.

What you'll be doing:

Coordinating BIM models for MEP and related disciplines

Performing clash detection, managing federated models, and ensuring constructability

Enforcing BIM Execution Plans and office standards, including version control and quality checks

Collaborating with design, engineering, construction, and vendor teams to align requirements and address RFIs and field changes

Maintaining and improving BIM libraries, templates, and workflows

Providing training and support to project teams

What we're looking for:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field

5+ years of professional BIM experience

Background working on varied building projects, ideally in at least two of these sectors: healthcare, commercial, sports facilities, mission critical, education, or government
