Job summary

Harvey Nash is seeking a BIM Coordinator to support the implementation, coordination, and maintenance of BIM processes on Alexandria, VA projects. This is a full-time on-site role reporting to the VDC Manager.

You will manage federated models, perform clash detection, ensure compliance with BIM standards, and assist with BOM and workflow development, collaborating with project teams and trade partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 2–5 years of BIM coordination or VDC-related experience.
• Understanding of LOD per BIM Forum standards / BIM ISO 19650.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation and enforcement of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs/PXPs).
• Manage and maintain federated BIM models from multiple disciplines.
• Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks or equivalent software.
• Track, document, and distribute coordination issues to stakeholders and vendors.
• Support coordination meetings and assist with agenda preparation and follow-up.
• Ensure models comply with internal BIM standards and project requirements.
• Assist with model-based quantity takeoffs, phasing, and logistics as required.
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, designers, and subcontractors.
