Job summary

B.L. Harbert International, LLC in Birmingham, Alabama is seeking a BIM/CAD Draftsman to support the International Operations Group. The role develops Building Integrated Models (BIM) to support construction projects through clash resolutions, quantity take-offs, and shop/coordination drawing development.

Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit is required. Responsibilities include preparing and modifying all trade models, performing interdisciplinary coordination, and helping develop BIM plans.

Qualifications

• US Citizen
• Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Autodesk Revit

Responsibilities

• Prepare and modify all trade models and details utilizing Autodesk Revit
• Perform interdisciplinary coordination, shop/coordination drawing production and material quantification using Autodesk Revit
• Help develop and execute project specific BIM plans/procedures
• Support engineering and construction teams in dimensions, layout, quantity surveying, clash detection
• Create and examine Autodesk Revit content for adherence to BIM standards
• Assist in troubleshooting field construction issues and questions
• Collaborate with design and construction teams to identify goals and communicate procedural changes
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings, preconstruction meetings, and submittal review meetings
