Job summary
Boardwalk Pipeline Partners, LP is seeking an Accounting Analyst II/III/SR for our Houston, TX location to support the billing functions of our natural gas pipeline business.
The role emphasizes accurate invoicing under FERC tariffs and customer agreements, with responsibilities spanning detailed billing analysis, contract interpretation, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure revenue integrity and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
- 3-5+ years in natural gas, midstream, pipeline, or energy with emphasis on billing/revenue accounting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret tariffs and contracts.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and validate monthly invoices for interstate and intrastate natural gas transportation services.
- Analyze billing transactions, volumes, rates, surcharges, and components for accuracy.
- Interpret tariff provisions and contract terms to determine applicable rates and methodologies.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and revenue variances.
- Collaborate with Commercial, Contracts, Legal, Marketing, Revenue Accounting, Customer Service, and Gas Accounting teams.
- Support monthly close through reconciliations and provide reporting.
