Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Billing Technical Analyst to help design, test, and implement billing processes that ensure timely and accurate customer invoicing.

You will analyze billing transactions, conduct user acceptance testing for system releases, and prepare analytical reports identifying trends and improvements. Strong analytical and communication skills, plus SQL proficiency, are required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years accounting or business analytics experience (Billing Technical Analyst I).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Understanding of billing workflows of Duck Creek or other proprietary systems.
• Ability to write clear documentation for billing processes, configurations, and audit trails.
• Proficient with SQL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design, testing and implementation of billing processes ensuring timely and accurate customer billing.
• Perform user acceptance testing of billing functionality for system releases using predefined test plans and scripts.
• Document results and communicate outcomes; follow up with additional testing as needed.
• Investigate and resolve billing system discrepancies and errors.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure billing accuracy.
• Ensure invoices reflect terms and comply with applicable rules and regulations.
• Prepare and present analytical reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, and delinquent accounts.
• Monitor billing invoices and forms generation cycles and alert management of failures.
• Manage ad hoc customer billing inquiries and provide coverage for team members.
