Job summary

Electromed is seeking a Billing Specialist to join our team. You will submit patient bills to appropriate payers, follow up on open accounts in a timely and accurate manner, and ensure claims are submitted correctly to support adjudication.

The role requires reviewing trip lines, communicating with insurance companies and internal departments, educating patients on complex billing situations, and recording information in internal systems.

Qualifications

• Two years of post-secondary education or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with insurance billing/reimbursement; DME preferred.
• Experience with third-party and government payers.
• High attention to detail with multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Submit patient bills to payers and follow up on open accounts.
• Ensure timely claim submission and follow-up to support adjudication.
• Resolve denial issues when working with insurance companies.
