Columbus Aesthetic & Plastic Surgery in Columbus, OH is seeking a Billing Specialist to join our award-winning team. In this full-time role, you will handle billing for physician and ancillary services, manage insurance claims, and support staff with coding changes and policy updates.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of medical billing experience, knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT, proficiency in Excel, and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years accounts receivable or medical billing experience.
• Working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding and medical billing practices.
• Experience with Nextech or similar EMR software.
• Proficiency in Excel and general accounting processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration with physicians and staff on billing and coding changes.
• High integrity and discretion with confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Submit and process medical insurance claims promptly.
• Review claims for accuracy before submission.
• Follow up on unpaid, denied, and rejected claims.
• Resolve insurance claim issues and payment discrepancies.
• Reconcile daily payment transactions.
• Maintain up-to-date patient and insurance information.
• Bill both insurance and cosmetic procedures daily.
• Prepare end-of-month reports and related billing duties.
