Overview
Amerita, Inc. is a leading provider in Home Infusion therapy. We are seeking a Billing Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle Management team and contribute to our growth as one of the top home infusion providers in the country. The Billing Specialist will be responsible for a broad range of billing processes related to managing the Ready to Bill unbilled revenue. This position reports to the Billing Manager and is remote.

Responsibilities
- Ensure daily goals related to cash collections, Accounts Receivable over 90 days, and other departmental objectives are met.
- Adhere to state and federal regulations, company policies, and ethical billing practices.
- Manage the Ready to Bill queue, perform Quality Assurance, and ensure claims meet payer guidelines.
- Process tickets promptly, update statuses, and reduce claim rejections through demographic corrections.
- Work efficiently to secure timely payments, prioritizing electronic billing solutions.
- Participate in conference calls and identify compliance issues among branch staff.
- Review and submit claims and secondary billing with supporting documentation per payer guidelines.
- Research payer websites for updates and communicate effectively with team members.
- Meet deadlines, handle stressful situations, and work overtime as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required; some college preferred.
- 3-4 years of medical billing experience, including managed care, commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid; home infusion experience is a plus.
- Experience with billing audits, automated systems (CPR+ preferred), and coding (ICD-9, CPT, HCPCS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, typing at 40 wpm, and 10-key calculator skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interpret information independently.

Salary Range
