Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus medical billing knowledge or equivalent experience.
• Experience in processing EOBs and ERA files and handling claims.
• Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and speed.

Responsibilities

• Submit all claims for prompt payment and batch/ transmit claims and statements timely.
• Maintain accounts receivable with low days in AR and monitor gross collection rate.
• Process and post payments and rejections; coordinate with others to post dues monthly.
• Resolve rejected claims by researching with insurers and resubmitting as required.
• Assist with patient accounts, provide customer service, collect payments or set up plans.
• Communicate issues to manager and assist with duties across the department.
