Transport Enterprise Leasing (TEL) seeks a detail-oriented Billing Specialist I in Chattanooga, TN. The role supports lease development and portfolio management through invoicing, reconciliations, data management, and customer support.

Onsite/Hybrid; strong accounting foundation and customer-service mindset are essential. The ideal candidate will excel in data accuracy, cross-functional collaboration, and process improvements, with 2+ years of accounting or related experience or a 4-year degree

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Invoicing, reconciliation, and data integrity for lease/loan portfolios.
• Ensure adherence to risk management and financial guidelines; document and approve exceptions.
• Maintain relationships with carrier clients' operational departments for leasing program administration.
• Suggest process improvements and assist with implementing new or improved business processes.
• Provide ongoing support to leasing, sales, marketing and business development teams.
• Develop strong working relationships with other operational team members.
• Protect proprietary information through non-disclosure.
• Continuously learn and implement improvements to deliver world-class service.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Billing Specialist I to join our growing team. In this role, you will support lease development and lease portfolio management through invoicing, reconciliations, data management, and customer support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, building relationships, and contributing to continuous process improvements in a collaborative environment.

What You'll Do

• Responsible for lease/loan invoicing, invoice reconciliation and data integrity.
• Ensure all risk management and financial guidelines are adhered to and exceptions documented & approved.
• Maintain relationships with the operational departments of carrier clients for the efficient administration of leasing programs.
• Provide proactive input for efficient process changes, enhancements, and modifications to facilitate implementation of new or improved business processes.
• Be responsive and provide ongoing support to the leasing team, sales, marketing, and business development personnel.
• Develop strong working relationships with other operational team members.
• Ensure non-disclosure of proprietary information.
• Continuously learn, share, and implement improvements in all processes and responsibilities as needed to enhance effectiveness of providing world class service and support.

• 2+ years of experience in Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Finance, Collections, or a related field reqiured or 4-year degree in Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Math, or Finance (preferred).
• Customer Service experience required.

Wage

$22 to $24 per hour, based on experience.
