Qualifications

• Two+ years in healthcare or behavioral health billing.
• Experience with Medicaid/Medicare and commercial insurance.
• Familiarity with claim submission, denial management, AR follow-up.
• Experience with EHR systems; CareLogic preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding.
• Grant-funded program billing experience preferred.
• Professional billing certification (CPB/CMBS or equivalent) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Submit, monitor, and reconcile behavioral health claims for timely reimbursement.
• Review claims and supporting docs for accuracy and coding compliance; work with clinical staff to fix issues.
• Manage AR including denials, follow-up, posting, adjustments, refunds, write-offs, and collections.
• Prepare and maintain grant, contract, school, and funding-source invoices and billing docs.
• Respond to billing inquiries from clients, payers, and providers with professionalism.
• Support eligibility verification, provider enrollment, and credentialing activities as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA and payer regulations compliance; support audits and documentation requests.
• Assist with month-end reconciliations, reporting, and revenue cycle improvements.
