Accounting/Billing Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting/Billing Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the finance department with administrative and accounting tasks to ensure smooth and accurate billing processes and payment handling.

Responsibilities

• Process billing-related emails, verify loads, and monitor payment statuses
• Post customer payments and track outstanding accounts
• Serve as a point of contact for customer billing inquiries via phone and email
• Process paperwork for loads, ensuring proper billing to customers and payment to carriers
• Track and troubleshoot issues with loads or billing discrepancies, coordinating with relevant teams to resolve problems
• Download invoices for billing and factoring purposes
• Send customer statements and assist with collections efforts
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation
• Perform other related administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a role requiring a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and Google Sheets
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
