Job summary

First Fertility is hiring a Billing Specialist for a full-time remote position. You will manage billing inquiries, resolve insurance claims, and serve as the main contact for patients and providers.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of medical billing experience, CPT/ICD coding knowledge, and excellent communication skills. You should be comfortable working independently in a remote setup and maintain HIPAA confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting (women's health or fertility experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of CPT and ICD coding.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills and a professional approach to every interaction.
• Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure; comfortable working remotely.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily flow of billing operations and build relationships with patients and providers.
• Manage timely billing, respond to patient inquiries, and follow up on outstanding claims.
• Engage with insurance carriers to resolve non-payment issues and correct/resubmit claim errors.
• Oversee the insurance appeals process to ensure timely resolution.
• Research patient benefit eligibility and claim status via carrier websites.
• Field incoming billing calls and route to the right department as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient information.
• Serve as the primary contact for providers and administration on billing matters and suggest process improvements.
