Job summary

Mears Installation, LLC is hiring a Billing Specialist for our Kansas City on-site office. This role supports the Finance & Accounting Department by processing daily production, tracking unbilled revenue, invoicing customers timely and accurately, reconciling payments, and maintaining AR records in accordance with contract requirements.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree with 2+ years of related experience, or bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Experience in the construction industry is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Spectrum or other enterprise accounting software preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial data analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
  • Excellent organizational and reconciliation skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication; strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review field operations submissions, validate against customer contract prior to processing weekly revenue
  • Generate customer invoices in accordance with contract requirements and internal SOX controls
  • Produce and maintain Excel spreadsheets to reconcile billing and payment discrepancies
  • Ensure unbilled revenue is reported properly with required field documentation and support
  • File all revenue reporting and invoicing with proper supporting documents
  • Work with field personnel and customers to resolve billing discrepancies
  • Other duties as assigned

BILLING SPECIALIST:We’re hiring a Billing Specialist for our Kansas City office. This is an on-site position. This position is responsible for assisting in the completion of accounting and financial reporting to support the Finance & Accounting Department to ensure that on-going reporting requirements are met with a high standard of excellence. This position is also responsible for processing daily production, the tracking of unbilled revenue, invoicing customers timely and accurately, reconciling customer payments and integrity of accounts receivable records.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • The physical activity required for this role includes:
    • Sitting for extended periods in an office environment
    • Frequently standing, walking, stooping, reaching, climbing, bending and reaching
    • Manual dexterity for computer use, files and office equipment
    • Occasionally lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
